President Michael R. Sand

Mr. Michael R. Sand was unanimously elected  President of Timberland Bank in January of 2003.  He began his banking career at Timberland in 1977 when there were only four branch offices.  Through the years, Mr. Sand has served the bank in many capacities, from  loan officer to  branch manager, then as a commercial banker.  He has been an integral part of our significant growth. In 1976  Mr. Sand graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a BA in Economics.  He received his Masters of Business Administration in 1981 and graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School.  Mr. Sand is a long-time Grays Harbor community leader and shares his vision and business leadership with a number of organizations.  He serves on the Board of Directors of the Grays Harbor YMCA and the Grays Harbor Community Hospital Foundation.  He also serves as a member of the board of NeighborWorks of Grays Harbor County, a board that actively advocates for housing issues.  Mr. Sand is a member of Hoquiam Lions Club and Past President of the Grays Harbor Chamber of Commerce.
