AUTOMATIC PAYMENT SERVICE (APS)
One of our most requested and most convenient services is Automatic Payment Service (APS). If you have a Timberland loan or reoccuring payment each month, we can save you both time and worry by establishing an automatic deduction according to your payment schedule on the same day each month. No need to worry that your payment arrived on time. Never a late fee! Your payment is always on time with APS. See the Customer Service Representative at your branch for more details.

DIRECT DEPOSIT
Enjoy the convenience, speed and safety of having your funds from any source deposited directly into your account. No trips to the bank, no lost checks, no late payments - your money is deposited safely and securely into your account on a specified date each month.

SAFE DEPOSIT BOXES
Now more than ever it’s important to know that your family documents are kept safe and secure. Safe Deposit Boxes are available in a variety of sizes at most Timberland branches for as little as $15.00 per year, plus a $5.00 key deposit. The cost of a safe deposit box is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
HELPFUL HINT: Your safe deposit box should contain any documents that would be difficult or impossible to replace such as:

SAVINGS BONDS
Savings Bonds are a safe and easy way to save money, and make a solid addition to your investment portfolio. Over 55 million people take advantage of Savings Bonds' competitive rates. Savings Bonds are backed by the full faith and credit of the United States and are available in denominations of: $50, $75, $100, $200, $500, $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000.
For more information on I Bonds and Series EE Bonds, visit the Department of Treasury's website at www.treasurydirect.gov. You will also find online calculators that help you determine the value of Savings Bonds you already own.
SERIES EE SAVINGS BONDS
- Sold at half their face value. (You pay $25.00 for a $50.00 bond )
- Earn 90% of market rates on five year Treasury Securities.
- Buy as much as $15,000 per year.
- New rates announced each May 1st and November 1st. This adjust-
ment ensures your savings will always track the Treasury bond market.
- Earn interest for up to 30 years.
- Can be redeemed anytime after twelve months.*
- Exempt from state and local taxes.
- Backed by the full faith and credit of the United States.
* if redeemed before 5 years, there is a 3 month loss of interest.
SERIES I SAVINGS BONDS
- Sold at face value. (You pay $50.00 for a $50.00 bond.)
- Offer a real rate of return over and above inflation.
- Buy as much as $30,000. per year. Exempt from state and local taxes.
- New rates announced each May 1st and November 1st. The rate of
adjustment ensures your savings earn money over and above inflation.
- Earns interest for 30 years.
- Can be redeemed after 12 months.*
* if redeemed before 5 years, there is a 3 month loss of interest.

AMERICAN EXPRESS® TRAVELERS CHECKS
We are proud to offer American Express® Travelers Checks as the essential vacation and travel companion. Travelers Checks are easy to buy and are sold without fee to Timberland customers. Travelers Checks are available in the following denominations:

MONEY ORDERS
Timberland Money Orders are sold in all branches for $3.00 each. Money Orders do not have an expiration date and provide extra protection when funds must be guaranteed.

You can hear your account balances, get a list of transactions that have cleared your account, and transfer funds between both deposit accounts and loans. CONTRACT COLLECTIONS
We offer a wide range of services to sellers and buyers involved in private contracts, whether secured by real estate, secured by personal assets or unsecured. Consider the ways we make collecting a contract easier for you.

Professional record keeping. We accept and record all payments made on the contract, report the interest paid to the IRS, and provide tax statements to both buyer and seller annually. Our system can also remind the buyer of a late payment and assess and track late charges. (when applicable.)

Timely notification. Each time a payment is received on the account a notice is mailed to the seller showing the date, the amount paid and disbursements.

Escrow accounts. We can establish an escrow account to collect funds that will pay hazard insurance, flood insurance, property taxes, or other required disbursements.

Disbursements. The seller may chose to receive payments as a deposit to a Timberland savings, checking, or loan account, or we will be happy to mail a check. The annual fee is based on how the seller receives distributions. (see schedule below)
